Back in 2017, Selkirk introduced the first pickleball paddle to enable both power and control. The hybrid innovation, known as AMPED, quickly became a favorite among pickleball players nationwide who had previously had to choose between either a power paddle or a control paddle.

AMPED was the industry's first thick core innovation, coming in at 5/8” when all other paddles were 1/2” or less, and the first paddle to have power and control in one paddle.
