Most paddles run one uniform core to the edge, so the edge goes soft. Three foam rings sit around the perimeter here, which is why a ball caught off centre still comes off like you meant it.

16mm, the Goldilocks number

Our Pro runs 19mm and is superb for touch. Our Max runs 14mm and is superb for pace. The Ultra sits at 16mm, which is enough core to settle a reset and enough return to finish a point, from the same paddle.

Aramid, the fiber used in body armor
